Filming

We took the afternoon to get our filming done, we were very successfull in getting all our footage in one a couple of hours. we had a very difficult job of trying to film people naturally carrying on with thier day to to day lives, this is hard if you tell them tyou are filming. They tend not to act natural and fail in acting at all. This meant we had to subtly film people without them knowing which can be hard if your walking around with a video camera. We were lucky to find that some people we did ask where good at acting natural.

The next problem we accured was getting enough voices over the top of the footage to represent the prople's thoughts. We resolved this by asking random people on the street to say stuff to the camera and then later extract the sound from the footage and use than seperatly. we were lucky to find alot of people didnt brush us off with the usual exit strategy when stopped in the street "i'm sorry i ahve a meeting" or " i am actually late for something". We got a good chunk of footage both for the voice overs and actual film footage.

The only small problems we ran into where lighting back at nicola's house while filming the phonecall. This was difficult as weshot a continueous shot of the messege popping up on thecomputer and the window next to the main character sent a glare onto the screen. But with common sense we resolved this by shutting the blinds :)
